How to Transform a Usual Stool into a Special One

You will need:

  • stool;
  • insulating tape or masking tape;
  • blue and white-gray paint;
  • sandpaper;
  • vinyl sheet (optional);
  • twine (optional).

  1. To begin with, treat the stool with sandpaper so that new layers of paint will look better.
  2. Cover the stool in several layers with paint mixed with water (in a ratio of 1 to 2). After the paint dries (it will take a few minutes), treat the stool a little bit with sandpaper to create a slightly aged effect.
  3. Next, you need to stick strips of insulating tape parallel to each other. To make the stripes smoother, measure the distances so that they are the same.
  4. Cover the strips with 2 layers of blue paint. Allow the paint to dry completely, and then remove the tape.
  5. If desired, the legs can be partially wrapped with twine. Secure it with glue.
  6. Optionally, cut out the anchor from a gray vinyl sheet and glue it to the top of the stool.
